When I picture the potter at the wheel, I’m reminded of something I often forget—I am not random. I am not an accident. I am not a product of chance. I am in the hands of a Master.

God, because of who He is, has intention. He has design. He has purpose.

And just like clay cannot shape itself, I can’t become who I was created to be apart from Him. 

Believe me, I’ve tried. I’ve taken control, attempted to define my own life, and every time, I end up with something distorted. BUT, when I surrender to His hands, everything changes. Listen to this amazing declaration about God’s design in YOU!

What are our first thoughts of the day? Do we start the day thinking well or thinking badly? In this, we must be intentional: predispose ourselves toward good.

God renews His mercy every day, and that truth will not change. It doesn’t depend on us, but that is His very essence.

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it,” Psalm 118:24 (NIV). If God made it, shouldn’t we start it with thanksgiving? We must focus our eyes on what is eternal each day to find purpose.

Sometimes it seems easier to think badly: that there will be complications, stress, and problems, but the Lord has a promise for every situation.

Let us know the Bible and the promises found there, and bring them to Him in prayer during adverse situations.

Second Kings 5:14 tells us: "So Naaman went down to the Jordan River and dipped himself seven times, as the man of God had instructed him. And his skin became as healthy as the skin of a young child's, and he was healed."

I have often wondered what Naaman was thinking after the first dip.

Did he immediately examine his hands? Did he search his arms for signs that something had changed? Did disappointment begin whispering, "This isn't working?" The Bible doesn't tell us. It simply tells us that he dipped again. Then again. Then again. One dip became two. Two became three. Three became four.

Can you imagine if Naaman had stopped after the sixth dip? He would have missed the miracle by one act of trusting God. Yet, Naaman was obedient to the invitation, and he kept dipping, fulfilling the instructions he received.

When you hear the word kindness, what comes to your mind? Maybe it's saying something nice or giving someone a compliment. Those things matter, but biblical kindness goes beyond words. Kindness is something people can see through your actions.

Think about your ordinary day. You may meet someone who looks fine on the outside but is carrying a heavy burden inside. It could be a coworker who is overwhelmed, a friend who is silently struggling, a family member who feels unnoticed, or even the cashier at the grocery store who has had a difficult day. The truth is, you never really know what someone is going through.

That's why every day is an opportunity to show the love of Jesus in practical ways.

Kindness doesn't always require something big or expensive. Sometimes it's choosing to listen instead of rushing the conversation. It's sending a message that says, "I was thinking…
